Pulley lagging

A wear- and grip-enhancing surface bonded to a conveyor pulley — rubber, ceramic or a combination.

Improves drive traction and protects the pulley shell. Ceramic lagging is used on drive pulleys in wet or high-tension duty; plain rubber elsewhere. Applied hot-vulcanised or cold-bonded, or as a slide-on cover.
